I hide my valved exhaust control switch in an OEM button on my Subaru BRZ, if done right this is completely undetectable! This is done using the blank/dummy switch in the traction control buttons (for manuals, with some modifications) or by rewiring the sport/snow mode buttons (from the automatic).
This will work with any mod that is activated by a momentary switch so feel free to adapt this to your use. What should I save the down button for? Again please solder in safe way.
