Be on alert for fake courier scams in India! Scammers impersonate FedEx, DHL (and other companies) claiming you have a package containing illegal items. They use scare tactics to pressure you into sending money for "clearance fees" or face arrest.
Here's the trick: legitimate courier companies won't contact you about illegal items in your package. They'll contact authorities.
If you receive a suspicious call, hang up. Verify any delivery issues directly with the courier company using their official phone number (look it up on their website, not from any caller ID). Don't share personal or financial information. Report scams to the police.
