Ex-Additional SP Bhujangarao Arrested by ACB in Disproportionate Assets Case.

Описание: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested former Additional Superintendent of Police Bhujanga Rao, already an accused in a phone tapping case, on charges of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. During searches, ACB officials discovered that Bhujanga Rao owns more than 27 acres of agricultural land in Suryapet, five house plots, two residential houses, and a commercial building in Hyderabad. Authorities also found approximately one kilogram of gold jewelry and a bank balance of Rs 3.83 lakh in his accounts. The total value of assets identified during the raids amounts to Rs 5.92 crore. Additionally, 29 liquor bottles were recovered during the searches, following which ACB officials informed the Excise Department authorities.
