The Parshuram Kund Mela 2026, popularly known as the “Kumbh of the Northeast,” started today at the sacred Parshuram Kund in Lohit district on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The inaugural ceremony was held at 10:00 AM and was graced by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Chowna Mein, as the Chief Guest, and Lt. General Abhijit S. Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, GOC 3 Corps, as the Guest of Honour.
The grand spiritual and cultural congregation is being hosted by the Lohit District Administration and is witnessing participation from devotees and visitors from across the Northeast and beyond.
