far be it for me to defend rory gilmore, but the older i get, the prouder i am of her for dropping out of yale.
i see so many people with the same take: she's entitled brat, took one piece of criticism and crumbled. buuuut i don't think that's fair. this is a breakdown of the psychology, the lorelai problem, what jess understood that everyone else missed, and why the break from yale was NOT a detour.
also can you believe i found a yale bulldogs sweater at a charity shop in london the day i filmed this. absolutely kismet.
