🔧T Tinkercad Gear Motor Project Description
In this project, I am using a DC gear motor inside Tinkercad to demonstrate how motors can provide both speed and torque. A gear motor is basically a DC motor attached to a gearbox, which reduces the motor’s high speed into a slower, more powerful rotation. This makes it perfect for projects like robot cars, conveyor belts, or mechanical arms, where extra force is needed.
The motor is connected to the circuit with an H-Bridge driver (L293D or L298N) so that it can rotate forward and backward. By controlling the motor with an Arduino board, I can adjust the speed using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and also change the direction with digital pins. A separate power supply (like a battery pack or external adapter) is often used to give enough current to the motor, since gear motors require more power than simple LEDs or sensors.
This setup shows how electronics and mechanics work together: the motor converts electrical energy into rotation, while the gears increase torque to move heavier loads at a steady speed. In Tinkercad, this is a great way to simulate real-world robotic and mechanical projects before building them physically.
