2-4 hr drive from Zagreb to Rovinj, Croatia

Enroute from Zagreb to Rovinj (scenic view, loving all the greenery and beautiful mountain views, really beautiful Croatia)
1 hour later..
Made a quick stop in
📍Marché Mövenpick (gas/ petrol station + coffee shop)
Very nicely decorated with decent offering if sandwiches and coffee. Great stop to make on your trip)

Now entering
📍Istria , coast in Croatia with the most beautiful beaches, crystal blue water, the air is so clean, well maintained area.

(Peninsula in Europe)shared by three countries: Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy. 
Croatia encapsulates most of the Istrian peninsula with its Istria County

Istria is the wine producing region (known for it's wine and olives )
It has high quality grape varieties ; Teran, Muskat, Malvazija
There are two official languages in Istria –
Croatian and Italian

Along the way you see-📍Učka Nature Park
and signs of Pula everwhere - it is the 6th biggest city in Croatia
Weather is about 22° (shocking for October )

📍Matošević Wines of Istria
Took 3h30mins from Zagreb, with the stop at Marché

1st wine up is- AURA (majority is Malvazija, 50% Malvazija , 40% Chardonnay, 10% Sauvignon)
ALBA ROBINIA (made with Acacia Tree)

Grimalda (Chardonnay, Malvazija & Sauvignon, Vintage. Wine fermented in standard Oak )

Love this one (my favorite wine), nice dry white, bodied
We went for a Wine Tour to see the cellars
70% sales are Malvazija, Malvazija is quiet popular in Croatia
Bought AURA - 74Kn / R170/ $12 and
Grimalda - 140Kn / R322/ $23

You'll find alot of pleases closed off season (my trip was in October to take advantage of the long weekend and there was the All Saints Day public holiday

Made a stop at
📍Konoba "Patricija" (restaurant)
Had Pasta with Truffles 100Kn/ R230/ $16.5
(It tasted so good, love their traditionally made pasta- Pljukanci a traditional Istrian type of pasta that is home made)

Cought a beautiful Sunsets (these are a fave 🌞🌇)

Took 6H30Mins from Zagreb with all the detours
(So much fun!)
Straight trip is about 3 hours (278km trip)

I loved this road trip so much, made the most of it and it was just perfect.
