Stripped Thread Repair where Access is Difficult |Two methods

Описание: Internal threads in aluminium are easy prey to being stripped out by steel bolts. In this video, two methods of repair are demonstrated. The first method shows how to make and fit an oversize insert for a bolt hole where a standard insert cannot be used. The second method shows the use of the Recoil Thread Repair Kit. The methods are being used to repair damaged threads in the aluminium alloy head of a motorcycle engine. The stripped threads are being repaired with the motor still in the frame and that, makes the job just that little bit harder. These are common aluminium cylinder head repairs.
