In this lesson, you’ll learn how to explain your reasons clearly in English using three very common words: because, so, and to. You’ll practise short, natural sentences you can use in real life at work, at school, or with friends.
In this video we will:
• Learn when to use because for the reason, so for the result, and to + verb for the purpose.
• Practise clear patterns like “I was late because…”, “It was raining, so…”, and “I did this to…”.
• Build example sentences for everyday and work situations, such as explaining problems or delays.
• Repeat and personalise sentence starters so you can talk about your own day, week, or work tasks.
• Get a homework challenge to write 6–8 real sentences from your life using because, so, and to.
This lesson is ideal for beginner to intermediate ESL learners who want to sound more confident and natural when explaining reasons, results, and purposes in English.
