There is no "Gupt formula" for cauliflower farming; instead, successful cultivation relies on scientifically-backed agricultural practices. The key to producing high yields of quality curds includes proper nursery management, specific nutrient application, correct spacing, and blanching to protect the heads. Soil preparation and nursery management Soil and pH: Deep, loamy soil with high organic matter is ideal for cauliflower. A pH level between 5.5 and 6.6 is optimal for maximum production. Cauliflower is also sensitive to boron and molybdenum deficiencies, especially in acidic soils.Nursery raising: The nursery bed should be prepared with well-rotted farmyard manure (FYM).Seed treatment: Treat seeds before sowing by dipping them in hot water (\(50^{\circ }\)C) for 30 minutes or in a streptocycline solution to prevent disease.Protected nursery: For monsoon seasons, seedlings can be raised in a polyhouse or polytunnel to protect them from heavy rain.Transplanting: Seedlings are ready for transplanting after 4–5 weeks.
