"The French Line's SS Normandie arrives in New York
from Le Havre (possibly on its record-breaking maiden voyage on May 29, 1935). Extensive footage of the Normandie arriving into the New York Harbor accompanied by an entourage of boats and airplanes, passengers disembarking and boarding the ocean liner after arriving at Pier 57, luggage being carried by porters, and crowds waving from the pier to those departing. Ocean liner passengers sunbathing and dining on the sun deck, gazing out at ocean vistas, and ship’s captains / officers overseeing operations in the bridge.
