Waqt Ki Awaz (1988) is a Hindi action drama directed by K. Bapayya. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty and Sridevi in lead roles, with supporting performances by Moushumi Chatterjee, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Ranjeet, Gulshan Grover and Asrani.
The movie was a major commercial success and became the 5th highest-grossing Hindi film of 1988. It is a remake of the Telugu film Khaidi Rudraiah (1986).

Plot
The story follows Lata, the daughter of a wealthy businessman who refuses her father’s wish to marry a rich man named Rajan. Determined to make her own choices, she runs away from home.
Soon she starts living with Vishwa Pratap, a humble truck driver, and his sister Lakshmi. Lata decides she will marry Vishwa instead of Rajan.
However, her life takes a dramatic turn when Vishwa is arrested for the murder of a dangerous criminal named Billa. Facing the possibility of life imprisonment or even death sentence, the lovers must confront the harsh realities of fate, justice, and sacrifice.
