Mpumalanga Corporate Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC, Speedy Mashilo, tells us why big government projects take long to complete or stall for many years. Mpumalanga government has not finished some projects that were conceptualised in 15 years - namely - the Athletes High Altitude Centre, Creative Arts Hub and Nkosi City. He says that:
government has good ideas but there is no money;
financially constrained developers fail to meet their promise to implement projects
He also talks about green energy projects
