Head injury in baby when to worry?
Babies are naturally curious and active, which makes head injuries fairly common during early childhood.
here are some Signs of a Serious Head Injury
Loss of consciousness (even for a few seconds).
Persistent vomiting or refusal to eat.
Uncontrollable crying or irritability.
Seizures or abnormal movements.
Weakness or difficulty moving limbs.
Unequal pupil size or difficulty focusing.
Blood or fluid coming from the nose or ears.
Bulging soft spot (fontanelle) on the head.
What to Do After a Head Injury:
1) Stay Calm – Comfort your baby and assess their response.
2) Apply Ice – Place a cold compress on the bump for 10–15 minutes to reduce swelling.
3) Monitor Closely – Keep an eye on your baby for the next 24–48 hours for any concerning signs.
4) Give paracetamol - If baby is in pain
Most head injuries in babies are mild and heal without complications. However, knowing when to seek medical attention can prevent serious outcomes
