Results from the EPO-Pretar trial: impact of early vs delayed ESA initiation in patients with LR-MDS

Dr Park highlights that although there was no difference in transfusion dependence between the early and delayed arms, the erythroid response rate was higher in the early arm (85% versus 55%). She also comments on the use of the ESA-IPSS-M score to calculate a patient's response duration to ESAs. This interview took place at the 31st Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) in Stockholm, Sweden.
