In the final session of the test weekend, I was able to follow behind @lukeCART1, one of the world's top Master's class drivers. Luke, having just come second at the IAME Asia Finals in Macau (against the likes of the legendary Davide Foré and Kip Foster); was running a big engine deficit in this stint to me. So I caught him massively in the draft and on the straight.
However, I chose to follow behind him for a few laps in order to learn from his lines and then apply it. What immediately followed was my personal best by about .4 of a second, with plenty more on the table. Think with the same conditions, and Kart, 1:04.9 is possible, though it will be very difficult to do that consistently.
Small steps, but hopefully will lead to great success later on in the year.
