Today, i was invited to ride onboard chiltern railway's new MK5 sets to London Marylebone. These sets will replace the MK3 sets which i haven't reviewed on yet but i have done a ride video on them. we will also go on first class today, which costs £20 extra and you will have to pay that on the train.
seen something familiar too? well, these sets were actually off lease from tpe in 2023 until last year, chiltern ordered 13 or 14 of these sets to replace the ageing mk3s!
since chiltern said that they're going to do a 'staged' rollout of these trains, i will do another review on this maybe in 2027
