Karen was diagnosed with blood cancer and received a lifesaving stem cell transplant, Helena donated stem cells to save her father’s life, while Beverley has been bridging the gap between recruiting more potential stem cell donors and recipients for over 27 years. Although cultural misconceptions, taboos, and myths, and lack of trust can deter people from registering, this incredible conversation helps to overcome what we thought we knew and sheds light on things we may never have thought of.
