Tillys Announces Skateboarders Ruby Lilley and Ryan Townley as Brand Ambassadors

Описание: We are proud to welcome professional skateboarders Ruby Lilley and Ryan Townley to our new ambassador program. We recently launched our ‘Discover Your Style’ campaign highlighting our brand values of confidence, self-expression, positivity and spreading “California Shine,” characteristics that Ruby and Ryan both embody in all respects.

Not only do Lilley and Townley personally embody the brand’s values, but their sport also ties directly into our principles. Skateboarding is a powerful vehicle, known for leading youth fashion trends, and is an avenue to building confidence and fostering mental wellness. We at Tillys are deeply committed to championing mental health, raising awareness, and making an impact by supporting teens and young adults by providing access to mental wellness resources through our partner foundation Tilly’s Life Center.

“At Tillys, we’re grateful to have been part of skateboarding culture since we opened our doors in the 80’s. This relationship helps define our identity and the values we mutually believe in.” says VP of Marketing Bobby Gascon. “With today’s challenging environment for young adults, we’re building an ambassador program to raise awareness on the importance of personal styling as a driving force for building confidence and fueling mental wellness. This approach being paramount within skateboarding, we are extremely proud to partner with Ruby and Ryan to help champion our “mutual” purpose.”

“I don’t want to be put in a certain category of skateboarding or style.” says Ruby Lilley. “I want to make my own, and Tillys backs me doing that through their Discover Your Style campaign, where they encourage confidence and authenticity.”

“I’ve always dealt with mental health. I also have a lot of friends throughout skateboarding who have struggled with it. So, being involved with Tillys that has a huge focus on mental health is very important not only for me, but for the entire skate community.” says Ryan Townley.

To kick off our partnership, Tillys and RSQ Skate will be hosting an art show and silent auction featuring original artwork from Townley, where all proceeds will be donated to their charitable partner Tilly's Life Center, at our RSQ Skate store at the Irvine Spectrum on December 6th. Attendees will also enjoy a live DJ, free giveaways, and free tattoos courtesy of Delaney Renee.
