SHARAI Velarde from Denver, Colorado calls herself the ‘ultimate tattooed Barbie doll’ saying ‘I’ve got Pamela Anderson’s body and Tommy Lee’s tattoos.’ This barbie caught the ink bug when she was just 18 and ever since then she’s been hooked. Her journey into the world of tattoos was to honour the life of her brother, who tragically passed away at the age of 22 and had just begun working on his first sleeve before he died. Along with her incredible body art, Sharai is also no stranger to cosmetic surgery. She got a boob job at the age of 19 and gets lip filler and botox injections around three times a month. According to Sharai her lips get a lot of comments because they’re so extreme but that doesn’t bother her - she likes them that way. Both Sharai’s mum and dad are really supportive of her look and she regularly consults them for advice on ideas for her tattoos. Firmly believing that ‘you only live once’ Sharai is happy chasing her unique, glam rocker look as it boosts her self esteem and makes her feel good about herself.
