Jago 315| The Journey to Durra Border Crossing, the Border between Saudi Arabia and Jordan

Описание: On the 190th day I continued my cross-country journey to Aqaba, Jordan, from Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

To enter Aqaba, I had to first find transportation to Haql, the Saudi Arabian border town near the Durra Border.

Unfortunately when I was here, SAPTCO buses no longer served the Tabuk-Haql route. Therefore I took a shared taxi to Haql, traveling via the northern Arabian desert.

The taxi stopped briefly at the rest area which was half way to Haql for a prayer break.

From the rest area, we entered the southern part of the Wadi Rum desert which is famous for its red sand with views that many claimed to be similar to those on Mars.

After that we passed through the Midian Mountains, where according to some experts at Jabal al Lawz Mountain Range you can find the actual Mount Horeb. Unfortunately I did not have time to go there at that moment.

In Haql, I changed into a taxi that could take me across the Durra Border to reach Aqaba, Jordan.

Almaty - Shymkent - Tashkent - Nukus - Muynak - Turtkul - Khiva - Bukhara - Samarkand - Tashkent - Khujand - Fann Mountains - Dushanbe - Kunduz, Afghanistan

Stage 5 Route - Afghanistan (DONE!):
Kunduz - Samangan - Mazar-i-Sharif - Balkh - Kabul - Bamiyan - Band-e Amir - Yakawlang - Lal - Chagcharan - Herat - Mashhad, Iran

Stage 6 Route - Iran (DONE):
Mashhad - Tehran - Isfahan - Persepolis - Shiraz - Ahvaz - Shalamcheh Border - Shushtar - Shush - Bandar Abbas - Sharjah, UAE

Stage 7 Route - Arabian Peninsula:
Sharjah - Dubai - Abu Dhabi - Riyadh - Jeddah - Madinah - AlUla - Hegra - Tabuk - Haql - Aqaba, Jordan
