On Sunday 17th March 2019, we had the pleasure of providing our aerial cinematography expertise to capture stunning footage of the 2019 Bath Half Marathon from the air, commissioned by Running High Events Ltd, and working closely with Suited and Booted Studios who used our footage in their race-day wrap-up video: https://vimeo.com/325036292
The brief? Show how the Bath Half Marathon takes place in the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage site, and that the route meanders through the streets of the Georgian city.
The weather had been terrible all week: non-stop rain and gale-force winds. However, the day started with clear skies, and the rain only returned well after the race had finished.
Here's a quick 2 minute edit using just some of the sequences were able to capture on the day.
Equipment Used:
DJI Inspire 2
DJI X5S Camera
DJI 15mm
Olympus 45mm
All necessary permissions were obtained from Bath Rugby and the Bath Film Office. An aerial team of 4 ensured legal separation distances on take-off and landing were maintained.
