📋 Ingredients:
3/4 cup (100 g) glutinous rice flour
2 1/2 cups (300 g) rice flour
1 1/4 cup (300 ml) water
Salt (optional)
👨🏼🍳 Instructions:
1. In a bowl, pour in the glutinous rice flour and rice flour. Add a pinch of salt if you like.
2. Gradually add water while mixing gently until you get a smooth, homogeneous dough.
3. Spread the dough in a plate suitable for steaming. Place the plate in a steamer (or a steaming basket over a pot of boiling water) and cover.
4. Steam for about 30 minutes.
5. Once cooked, remove the dough and place it on a board. Knead and work it vigorously until the dough becomes soft again.
6. Shape the dough into balls, then flatten them with your hands using a back-and-forth motion to stretch them. Then cut your Tteok into the desired size.
7. Place the Tteok into a pot of hot water and cook for about 30 seconds. Then remove and immediately plunge them into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
