Scuba adventures from Placencia, Belize June/July 2024!
The nurse sharks were crazy aggressive because the locals hunt lion fish and feed them to the sharks. Lion fish are invasive, but this is a terrible way of trying to mitigate the problem. One of the girls in this video got bit by a nurse shark because it ran into her and while pushing it away, her hand slipped in its mouth. Thankfully, her fingers just got scraped up a little, but it harassed us the rest of that dive, which is why you'll see the dive guide whacking it on the head!
