Nikkei has two set menus, we chose the 8-course Nikkei Omakase set menu for two. There’s also an à la carte menu which has quiet a variety.

We kicked off with two cocktails, Chicha Tropicalia and a classic Mojito, perfect pairings for our Japanese-Peruvian food.

8-course Nikkei Omakase set menu for two: R599 per person sharing.

Courses 1 & 2:
Edamame with flaked salt (V) & crispy squid with togarashi, lime, and squid ink aioli.

Courses 3 & 4:
Yellowtail hamachi with fermented chilli and black garlic, & tuna ceviche with smoked jalapeño, shoyu, and black sesame.

Courses 5 & 6:
Fried tofu sushi with truffle honey (V) & fire-cooked chicken thigh with black bean mole.

Courses 7 & 8:
Hibachi-cooked lamb chops with black garlic honey & beer-braised sesame short rib with yam mash and black truffle sauce.

Dessert:
Miso caramel chocolate fondant with sesame ice cream and yuzu-compressed pear, Divine! 🍮
