Indian badminton star PV Sindhu has put an end to misleading reports circulated by pro-YSRCP media outlets regarding the recent groundbreaking ceremony for her Badminton Academy in Visakhapatnam.

Clarifying the situation via a post on X, PV Sindhu addressed allegations that the ceremony was re-enacted merely to give credit to Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh. Sindhu explained that the initial event was conducted abruptly with just seven hours' notice, leaving out her family members, close well-wishers, and core supporters who helped build the project from day one.

She further highlighted that under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the scope of the project has expanded from a basic badminton academy into a comprehensive, world-class Integrated Sports and Education Institution, targeting completion by 2028. Sindhu's response effectively refuted the political narratives being pushed by opposition media.
