Beef Potato Qorma Recipe


INGREDIENTS


1 kg beef

3 medium tomatoes (grated)

6 medium potatoes (cut in halves)

3 medium onions (2 chopped, 1 sliced)

2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin (zeera) powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) powder

1 teaspoon shahi zeera powder

½ packet Shan Qorma Masala

1 tablespoon red chilli powder

2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)

1 cup yogurt

2 glasses water

Fresh cilantro (chopped, for garnish)

4 green chillies (sliced)


METHOD


1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker or deep pot.


2. Add 2 chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.


3. Add the beef and stir-fry for 5 minutes until it changes color.


4. Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, fenugreek leaves powder, shahi zeera powder, red chilli powder, salt, and Shan Qorma Masala. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes.


5. Add the grated tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.


6. Add the yogurt and cook on medium heat, stirring, until oil separates.


7. Add the sliced onion and cook for 2 minutes.


8. Add the potatoes, mix well, and cook for 3 minutes.


9. Pour in 2 glasses of water, close the lid, and pressure cook for 30 minutes.


10. Once cooked, garnish with fresh cilantro and sliced green chillies.


SERVING


Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
