Boss RE-202, Strymon Volante, Line 6 DL4 MkII [Likes, Dislikes & Which Should You Buy?]

Welcome to the show! In this episode we pick up from last week’s show where we had a good listen to Boss’s RE-202, RE-2 and RE-20 Space Echoes… against the real-deal RE-201.
While that’s all very interesting and everything, perhaps the bigger question on people’s lips is: Should I buy the RE-202 or the Strymon Volante, given that both units are four-head tape (and drum) simulation echo/delay machines? Aaaaand, seeing as Line 6 has also just dropped the DL4 MkII too, what about that?
Now then, this is not an exhaustive deep dive on features – if you want that please check out the companies’ own demos, or indeed those they’ve had done by demoing third parties. Instead, what we are doing is offering some opinion on some overall likes and dislikes that draw us, or indeed repel us screaming, from each device. Well, not exactly screaming, but you get the idea.
