Описание: Here’s a list of important engineering drawing terms with short explanations. These are commonly used in mechanical/technical drawings:

Basic Terms

#TitleBlock – Section of a drawing that contains information such as part name, drawing number, scale, material, tolerances, and drafter’s details.

#RevisionBlock – Shows changes or updates made to the drawing with revision numbers and dates.

#Projection – A method of representing 3D objects in 2D (commonly first-angle and third-angle projection).

#Scale – Ratio of drawing size to actual size (e.g., 1:2 means half the actual size).

#Views – Different orientations of a part (front, top, side, isometric).

#Lines & #Symbols

#ObjectLine – Thick continuous line showing visible edges.

#HiddenLine – Dashed line representing edges not visible in the current view.

#CenterLine – Thin long-short-long line showing symmetry or axis.

#DimensionLine – Indicates the measurement with arrowheads and values.

#ExtensionLine – Thin line that extends from the object to show where dimension applies.

#SectionLine (Hatching) – Used in sectional views to represent cut surfaces.

#LeaderLine – Line with an arrow pointing to a feature, usually with a note.

#Dimensions & #Tolerances

#Tolerance – Allowable variation in a dimension (e.g., ±0.05 mm).

#LimitDimension – Specifies upper and lower limits of size.

#Fit – Relationship between two mating parts (clearance, interference, transition).

Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (#GD&T) – System that defines shape, orientation, and position tolerances.

#Datum – Reference point, line, or surface for measurement.

#Sections & #Views

#SectionalView – View obtained by cutting the object to see inside details.

#HalfSection – One-half of the view is shown in section.

#AuxiliaryView – Additional view used for inclined surfaces.

#ExplodedView – Assembly drawing showing parts separated for clarity.

#DetailView – Enlarged view of a small portion of the drawing.

Drawing Types

#AssemblyDrawing – Shows how different parts fit together.

#PartDrawing – Drawing of a single component with full details.

#PictorialDrawing – 3D representation like isometric or perspective.

#pictorialagateDrawing – Complete set of drawings used for manufacturing.

#SchematicDrawing – Symbolic representation, often used for piping, wiring, or hydraulic circuits.

Standards & References

#BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) – Indian standard for drawings.

#ISO (International Organization for Standardization) – Global drawing standards.

#ASME Y14.5 – Widely used standard for GD&T.
