INGREDIENTS;
• Long grain rice- 2 cups
• Water for boiling- 2 liters
• Oil- 2 tablespoons
• Salt-1 & ½ tablespoons
• Dry dill- 4 tablespoons
• Saffron- a pinch
• Barberries - 2 to 3 tablespoons


DIRECTIONS;
• Soak rice in water for half an hour. Then strain water and wash the rice.
• To make saffron water mix a pinch of saffron in ½ cup of slightly warm water, keep aside.
• Soak barberries in water for 5 minutes, then strain and wash.
• Fry barberries in ½ tablespoon of oil for few seconds, on low flame, take out in a bowl and keep aside.
• In a pot boil 2 liter of water with salt.
• When water starts boiling, add rice in it.
• Boil rice until it is 95% done, then strain.
• In a pot add 1 tablespoon of oil, then add boiled rice, and sprinkle 1 & ½ tablespoons of dry dill over rice.
• Add second layer of rice, again sprinkle 1 & ½ tablespoons of dry dill over rice.
• Repeat the process for the third layer of rice.
• Add the fourth and final layer of rice. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and saffron water.
• Cover and steam on low flame for 5 minutes.
• Garnish with barberries.
