Delport crosses the floor

Delport’s defection comes just days after the ANC reconfigured its provincial executive, a move he claims was driven by factional politics and the sidelining of coloured leaders.

The DA has welcomed Delport and says this marks the beginning of a larger political realignment ahead of the local government elections.
