Chennai School Gives Free Tablets To Students For Online Classes

In a bid to bridge the digital divide, the Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School in Chennai has given 120 tablets to all the students in Class X, XI and XII. These tablets have been given to students who come from underprivileged backgrounds so that they could attend online classes amid the pandemic. The private school also takes care of SIM and monthly internet packages. Encouraged by public and corporate contribution, they are now seeking support to provide tablets for class VIII and IX children as well. NDTV's J Sam Daniel Stalin spoke to the children, teachers and the management about their vision.
