Hotel Review: Panorama Hotel, Vilnius, Lithuania - May 2019

Описание: A detailed traveller review of the Panorama Hotel in Vilnius, Lithuania, made in May 2019.

In May 2019, I paid 91 Euro and 80 Cents for two nights accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis at this hotel (via Booking.com), which is conveniently close to both Vilnius Railway Station and Vilnius Bus Station, and is only a 5-10 minute walk from Vilnius Old Town. The hotel seems to have had some refurbishment in places and is in overall good order. It is a popular hotel for coach parties, and this means that the hotel is often busy, particularly at breakfast time, so my recommendation for breakfast is to go down later around 9pm to avoid the crowds, which usually appear around 7am onwards, but diminish later.

The bedroom was decent, with a large, comfortable bed and great views over the Old Town and City. One downside to the room was a lack of air-conditioning, although with the window wide open, the room wasn't too hot at night. The room had a long desk, chair, luggage storage area, wardrobe, bedside tables, but no electrical plug sockets next to the bed. The bathroom was a little dated, but clean. It had a shower cubicle rather than a shower bath, sink, soap, shampoo, towels, hairdryer and toilets.

Breakfast was a quite extensive buffet with both hot and cold items.

This film features views of the reception, lift / elevator, views over Vilnius from the third floor of the hotel, third floor hallway, a detailed room inspection of room 338, the hotel bar, restaurant and the breakfast buffet.

I liked this hotel, particularly for its location near the railway station, and would certainly consider staying here again in future.

Vilnius is the seat of the main government institutions of Lithuania and the Vilnius District Municipality. Vilnius is classified as a Gamma global city according to GaWC studies, and is known for the architecture in its Old Town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.
