EF86 comparison in a Matchless C30. Tried to eliminate as many variables as possible. Used a looper to record a clip, so the input was identical across the three tubes compared.
1962 NOS Mullard, Made in Great Britain
NOS Tungsgram, made in Germany
Electro Harmonix made in Russia
Recorded the same clip using input 1, volume at 9, 1030, noon, and 3 o'clock, and rotated through position 1, 3, 6 of the rotary tone knob with volume around 1030. Also demonstrated input 2, volume at 9.
