Few people know that there are more Danish crown jewels than the four magnificent sets in the Treasury at Rosenborg. At the Amalienborg Museum you can see a selection of the newest crown jewels. Frederik VIII's Queen Lovisa has added a number of magnificent pieces of jewelry to the collection after the four sets were created in 1840. Lovisa used some of the stones that had not been used for the four large sets. She has, among other things, added a pearl "bayadère", which is a very long pearl necklace with pearl tassels, and three unique pearl bracelets with brilliant and emerald-studded clasps to the crown jewels.
