Running a 150 shot of nitrous currently. at 150, it is traction and clutch limited. I am running the stock clutch but need to upgrade it to run 150 without the requirement of easing into the throttle. Once the nitrous is engaged in third gear at around 3500-4000 rpm the tail end will slide around a bit, but it is damn fast. I am running 17 degrees of timing at 3000 rpm on up at and near WOT manifold pressures. I also have a wide band O2 sensor that is being brought into VCM tuners scan tool, so I can log my air fuel ratio. What I found is that Nitrous Outlet jetting recommendations are pretty close, but I found that the system likes bigger fuel jets than recommended. For example run a fuel jet for 125 hp when running a 100 hp nitrous jet.
Also, as far as tuning, I over emphasized it in the video. Tuning correctly takes months of research, 600 dollar HP tuner and credits, laptop, and a wideband O2 sensor installed properly and imported into your data scanning software. This is a lot. I found that from stock for a 150 shot I only pulled between 1 and 3 degrees of timing when compared to my stock tune, and the stock tune provides plenty of fuel for a safe nitrous shot. I'd say you can run a 100 wet shot on a stock tune, which in my experience I hardly notice a difference between 100 and 150. If you want to run more then there are aftermarket devices that pull timing without having to actually tune your ECU. That being said, I highly recommend going down the HP tuner rabbit hole, as if you're an engine and speed geek like me, it is gobs of fun knowing exactly what your engine is doing and can really zero in the tune for the nitrous hit.
If there are any questions about any of my upgrades or how I tuned/installed it, don't be afraid to comment!
