Rick Burton is the David B. Falk Professor of Sport Management at Syracuse University, where he has taught since 2009 and also served as the university’s Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA and ACC. A leading voice in sports business and marketing, Burton has written extensively on the global sports industry and co-authored influential books such as 20 Secrets to Success for NCAA Student-Athletes. His career includes serving as Chief Marketing Officer for the U.S. Olympic Committee during the 2008 Beijing Olympics and as Commissioner of Australia’s National Basketball League. With decades of experience bridging academia and industry, Burton is recognized for his expertise in sponsorship, brand management, and the business of sport on both domestic and international stages.
