This is December’s Monthly Mini: Frost & Ember.
The Monthly Mini series is not about painting perfect models or using advanced techniques.
For this episode, the focus was cold armor in a cold environment, contrasted with a warm firelight glow. No airbrush, no fancy products, and no hidden steps. Every paint used is shown on screen, and the approach stays intentionally simple so beginners can follow along or use this as inspiration for their own version.
I’m still learning this stuff myself, and you will see that here. Some parts work better than others, and that’s kind of the point. Monthly Mini is about progress, experimentation, and building confidence one finished model at a time.
If you are new to miniature painting or looking for ideas that do not require a massive paint collection, I hope this gives you a place to start.
