This video demonstrates how to simulate the face cradle of a massage table while working on a floor mat, as is commonly done in Thai Massage.

The therapist can use several pillows to support the chest, the head, and even the ankles to achieve the most comfortable position for the client.

Without pillow support, in the prone (face down) position in Thai Massage, the client would be forced to turn the head sideways. This can often be uncomfortable for the client.

However with proper pillow support, the Thai Massage therapist can position the client in such a way that there is no need to turn the head sideways. The effect is the equivalent of the face cradle in a massage table
