59 Leg Lift Hold for Hip/ Knee/ Ankle Alignment

The photo demonstrates the leg lift hold. Balance, leg strengthening, aligning hips/knees/ankles, improving communication from foot to spine, rotator cuff stabilization/strength, rotational core stability and many other benefits are inherent in this isometric hold.
Why this particular position? Walking is an activity we all hope to continue throughout our lives. By standing in this leg lift position, you are performing the first phase of walking and building up your strength so that walking will be easier and more consistent.
How long? Start with 30 seconds, with or without the weight, then build up to 1 minute or more, a maximum of 5 minutes without a weight. The subtle adjustments your body makes improve your neuromuscular connections and joint alignment.
Just do whatever time feels appropriate for you.
Perform 4 different positions.
Right arm with weight, left leg up.
Left arm with weight, right leg up.
Right arm with weight, right leg up.
Left arm with weight, left leg up.
Keep both legs straight and the foot flexed on the lifted leg.
