Описание: Here's my TV series review of National Geographic's 3rd season of their anthology series entitled "Genius: Aretha" (2021). This show stars Cynthia Erivo as Aretha Franklin and Courtney B. Vance as her father, Reverend C.L. Franklin. In this review, I share what I liked and did not like about the series and briefly discuss some of the controversy surrounding the show.

Logline via IMDB: The life story of Aretha Franklin specifically following her life & career during her "Atlantic" years with flashbacks to her childhood growing up on the road and at Church. The series explores the Queen of Soul's emotional traumas, heartbreaks, and relationships - especially her father, Reverend C.L. Franklin.
