[VHS Rip] Mega Man - The Beginning - 3 Episode Collection (1998) - UAV Entertainment

Описание: Here's the first three episodes of the Ruby-Spears Mega Man cartoon, as presented by UAV Entertainment in an oversized clamshell style release. This would appear to be a scarce item compared to the earlier Sony Wonder releases of this series, which only featured two episodes per tape and comprised the first eight episodes in total. This tape also features previews for other UAV Entertainment titles, notably The Secret of Anastasia (1997), which stars Lisa DeSimone of Record of Lodoss War fame. Wonderful singer!

I use an I-O Data GV-USB2 for composite capture out of an Aiwa VX-S135 built-in VCR. I do not use S-Video out, an expensive VHS deck, time-base correction etc. These would all obviously be better for capture, but I never grew up with such things and feel that these all kind of miss the forest for the trees for everything but the most precious, esoteric tapes. I also do not use QTGMC for deinterlacing, or AI upscaling; I can't be bothered with the former and do not really care for the latter, as far as presentations like this go. Audio and video is captured in AmaRecTV with optimal(?) settings then deinterlaced (Yadif, Bob) and upscaled to 720p at 59.94 frames per second in Handbrake. This is done at a constant bitrate maxed out at Placebo Quality, for the least amount of perceptible compression.

I wouldn't even upscale, but it's required on YouTube in order for certain scenes shot or rendered in 60 frames per second to look close to how they were intended to be seen. I may not upload the most pristine captures (especially without time-base correction), but I believe this produces sufficient results for what I am trying to accomplish: an alternative to physically wearing out my prized tapes, while still preserving that cozy feeling of watching VHS.
