Reboot Hell (Momocon 2025 Iron Editor Winner)

This year I had the honor to compete in Iron Editor at Momocon 2025! In this competition, you have 2 hours to edit a full video based on five known sources, plus a secret source. The videos are judged based on editing, theme, and usage of the secret source. The theme this year was "Rinse, Recycle, Repeat" and featured anime that were all remakes/reboots of more classic anime.

During the source reveal, they showed Netflix, which made me think "NO WAY ARE THEY ACTUALLY GONNA GIVE US NETFLIX DEATH NOTE", but it was Scott Pilgrim Takes Off! I kinda lucked out there because I knew all the Scott Pilgrim release dates off the top of my head and could incorporate it into my vid better LOL. But if it did end up being Death Note, I was gonna pivot my concept so hard and now the idea is lodged in my brain WHOOPS.
