This scene “Hvitserk’s choice”, is the end result of the choice he made to leave his brother Ubbe and Join his other brother Ivar. Ivar led Hvitserk and his army to England to attack King Alfred The Great. But this is where Ivar met his end. Alfred then offered Hvitserk the choice to start a new life as a Christian prince of England.
