𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞 𝗘𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: Police Oversee Tent Removal in Venice Cleanup

Описание: VENICE, CA — Friday, February 6, 2026 — A coordinated multi-agency cleanup operation was conducted Friday morning along Riviera Avenue in Venice as the City of Los Angeles continued sanitation and public-safety efforts along the heavily trafficked oceanfront corridor.

The operation was led by the Department of Public Works, with support from the Los Angeles Police Department, Environmental Compliance Inspectors (ECI), Clean Harbors Environmental Services, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, and a homeless coordinator from the office of Traci Park. The joint response brought together enforcement personnel, sanitation crews, hazardous-materials specialists, and outreach teams to address camping activity and accumulated debris in the beach-adjacent area.

During the operation, Environmental Compliance Inspectors encountered an abandoned tent on a public sidewalk. ECI personnel assessed and separated hazardous materials from other items within the encampment. Hazardous waste, including urine and batteries, was collected and properly handled by Clean Harbors, while remaining debris was removed by sanitation crews.

Representatives from Councilwoman Park’s office assisted with inter-agency coordination on site, while LAHSA outreach workers distributed bottled water, food, and hygiene kits, and offered access to supportive housing and mental-health resources.
