Mount Pearl, Newfoundland is a suburban city in the St. John's area. I grew up there and liked it until around grade 11, and then I really didn't like it. But it's actually a pretty good city for a lot of reasons. Mom and dad talk about some of the reasons they moved to Mount Pearl from downtown St. John's in the 70s, why they stayed, and why they're not going anywhere.
