I thought this painting was finished.
I lived with it for a while… and realized it had no pulse. No tension. No truth. Just too much thinking and not enough listening.
So I went back in.
This episode is a real-time studio session working on Hear Me Out; a painting that refused to stay resolved. It’s about that moment every creative knows, when something looks done on the surface but feels unfinished in your body. The only option is to return, disrupt, and keep the conversation going.
Some paintings don’t resolve in one pass.
Some of them fight back.
This was one of those days in the studio.
