How This End Grain Cutting Board Pattern Comes Together

Описание: This cutting board features a repeating pinwheel pattern made from contrasting hardwoods. Each element of the design is built from carefully cut pieces that come together to create a geometric end-grain pattern across the entire board.
The original pattern was designed by me (Stammherz) and assembled through precise cutting, clean glue-ups, and careful alignment so the geometry flows seamlessly across the surface. After assembling the blocks, the board is flattened, sanded, and finished to highlight the natural grain and color contrast of the wood.
End-grain cutting boards are durable, knife-friendly, and allow for complex patterns that reveal themselves only after the final glue-up and surfacing.
