Driving to Bhutan from India was an experience I will never forget.
We flew from Bombay to Bagdogra and then drove into Bhutan. First Phuenstoling, then Paro and then got our visa's extended at Thimphu and then began our great adventure at Bhutan. Bhutan's side of the Himalayan mountains aren't like Indian Himalayas its tougher terrain but the beauty shines through like the sun. I especially loved the feeling floating through the clouds at Trongsa and the land and terrain of Bumthang beams the quiet (yes I'm being poetic). The flight from Bumthang to Paro (the most dangerous air strip in the world) was unforgettable and Thimphu's cosmopolitan Bhutan is the perfect fusion of modern and traditional cultures.
The perfect mix.
