Many people with a vagina will get bacterial vaginosis at some point in their life, it’s very common. A bit of a bacterial soup that’s been allowed to overgrow and take over the amount of normal good bacteria lactobacillus. This gives a fishy thin vaginal discharge, or in 50% of cases nothing at all.
If you have no symptoms, you don’t need treatment. If you do have an irritating discharge, treatment is just a simple course of antibiotics.
